The Gals took a road trip to Seaside, Oregon where they interviewed the very talented metalsmith and jewelry designer, Angela Whitlock. This is a wild and crazy interview! Katie’s friend Teresa Roehr sat in for the conversation they had way too much fun. You will learn a lot of cool shit about metalsmithing and jewelry design, and you will probably get dizzy with all the crazy side bars and laughter. This is a fun one, listeners!
Angela mentioned a really cool website where she purchases all of her supplies and tools. Even if it is just to satisfy your curiosity, you will want to check out Rio Grande as it is full of awesome stuff and rather drool worthy.
No Pintrest board for this episode… we didn’t need one because the pictures of Angela’s at home workshop and gorgeous jewelry is all the eye candy you will ever need.
Here is the cool little work area she has at home. We are actually dying to see her at work in here.
OMG! Look at this delicious jewelry! Just look at it! Angela is so talented.
And here are a few pieces of her mixed media work we snuck while poking around her workshop.
Angela is a.whitlockmetalarts on Instagram; you should follow her to see more of her incredible creations.
Want to buy some of her jewelry? Right now you have to visit the Northern Oregon Coast to do that. You can find her work at Prana Wellness Center in Astoria and also at SeaSoles Shoe Boutique in Seaside. We will keep you updated on Angela and if she decides to delve into online sales.
This week we will leave you with the picture of the skeleton in Angela’s closet…. Because it is friggin’ awesome.
