People have asked… people have been intimidated… people should just grab a tub of gesso and start using it! Yep, this week, after a lengthy opening gab session, The Gals tell you everything you need to know about acrylic gesso. There are so many uses for this stuff that we encourage you to do some researching in addition to the information we provided here.
We don’t oil paint or do a lot of encaustic work so although we mentioned oil gesso and encaustic gesso here, we didn’t talk about them beyond saying they are a thing. Acrylic gesso is the preferred medium for mixed media art and since that is what we do, that is what we know the most about.
