Katie continued dissecting pellets during the week… here are some of her more impressive treasures and the pile of bones she ended up with.
This is what the bones all looked like after being soaked in mild soapy water and rinsed and then put into their peroxide/water bath for bleaching.
And here are all of Katie pretties organized by type of bone. The skulls are organized by condition. For the record, after looking at all the charts we found, we are almost 100% positive that all of these bones belong to big brown rats. SO much prettier without the rest of the rat on them, aren’t they?
Oh! And Katie’s friend Martha posted this song on her FB this week so we HAD to share it with you! If we had been aware of this song the day we recorded we so would have been singing it while we were doing stuff!
