Sealants, Use Then But Don’t Huff Them

Before we get started this week, we have to do a little bill paying… We have officially used up all of our free storage space on our podcast hosting server. This means that unless we want to take content down (which would mean no access to our previous episodes), we need to upgrade and start paying a month fee for storage. The smallest storage package should hold us over for quite a while, and luckily this is only $10 a month. Why are we telling you this? Because this is a free podcast that The Gals don’t profit from, we need a little help with those fees. We have added a donate button right over there =======>

If you want to help us out, all you have to do is click it and fill in how much you would like to donate. Anything helps! If you only have $1 to donate, then we will gladly take it. You can set your donation up as monthly or just do a onetime donation. Hopefully before we have to upgrade again, we will get some sponsors and we won’t have to bug our awesome listeners for donations.

This week The Gals talked about sealants. Sharon and Katie went through their favorite sealants and talked a little about what they use each for and why. Naturally, their conversation got a little weird when discussing proper ventilation and the odor of some sealants, but that just means more entertainment for you!

Here are the sealants they discussed today.

Ice Resin

Dorland’s Wax Medium

Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel

21703-1003-1-2ww-mWorkable Fixative

Glaze Metal Sealer and Patina Extender

Flat Crystal Clear Acrylic Topcoat

One last remainder about the upcoming Artist Trading Card (ATC) episode! The Gals are going to be recording that one very soon so this it last call for getting your images submitted if you would like to share them with us. Please email goo quality images or scans to us with your name and a link to your website or blog (or whatever you would like to share with the rest of our listeners).

You can send those images to us, or send us questions/comments/suggestions/show episode requests/love letters at our email address You can also subscribe to the podcast through iTunes and Stitcher! Both apps are free and you will never have to wonder when a new podcast is up because new episode will automatically download to your app.
