The Gals love Halloween! A lot! And they just couldn’t let it pass without doing a special episode where they talk about all the things that are super rad about it. Honestly, there is not a lot of arts and crafts going on in this podcast but Sharon and Katie do go over some of the finer points of Halloween Décor, treats, and costumes… let’s face it, Halloween is a pretty big topic to cover in one half hour-ish podcast.
This was a really fun episode and we wanted to make sure to give you some links so you could see some of the suggestions The Gals gave us and more! These are our favorite décor and snack ideas. This first link was chosen because it is a prime example of cheap crap found at the dollar store being turned awesome with a little spray paint and imagination.

Here is a collection of some really great snack and décor ideas… the gals talked about some of these and wish they had come up with the others. http://www.jsonline.com/features/parties/20-easy-diy-halloween-tricks-and-treats-b99370246z1-279827182.html
OH! And we almost forgot! Here is the recipe for “Poison Apples” that Katie was talking about. These are really cool! http://halloweendevilishdelights.blogspot.com/2010/05/poisoned-candy-apples.html
And lastly, here are some funny and very clever last minute DYI Halloween costume ideas! Just type “DYI costume ideas” into your search engine and you will be blown away by the results. Katie researched this post and had to force herself to stop so she could finish packing for her vacation for fear of getting so sucked into the costume ideas that she would never finish everything she has to do! Anyway, these were some of her favorites. http://www.sadanduseless.com/2014/10/cheap-halloween/
We will leave you with some of the costumes that Katie talked about. Mind you, many of these were taken by drunk people so they aren’t the best photos.
The infamous Tinky Winky costume.
Most of the Bender costume (unfortunately there isn’t a picture that include Lucy Lu’s head in a jar inside the chest door).
And this is the year Katie and “Big Orange” went as Mexican Wrestlers (Curt’s mask was purchased at an army surplus store of all places but Katie made hers).
We hope you all have a safe and wonderful Halloween! If you have pictures of rad Halloween costumes or some ideas/comments you think we need to hear please email us at twoartsygals@gmail.com. Next week The Gals will be back to talk about book binding! Eat tons of candy and make some cool shit, yo!
