Episode 61: We Can Tape All Your Buttcheeks Together

First and foremost, Katie wants everyone to know that she realizes Scotch Tape is a brand of clear tape and that not all clear tape is Scotch Tape… she was worried someone would point that out after her rant about not all duct tape being Duck tape. She knows people! Relax! Also, she has never had anyone act like an a-hole about clear tape and what it is called.

OK! Now that we have that cleared up we can get on with things. Y
ou should totally go check out the Pintrest board for this episode so you can see all the cool things The Gals talk about today.

A lot of tape gets covered today and some things get covered in tape as well! The Gals started out with your basic all purpose, working tapes. They do jobs that we need done because we only have two hands. They are great.

They discussed packing tape transfers, which you will find several tutorials for on the Pintrest board for this episode; they are so cool you will be looking for things to make transfers of (we linked it above). Loni and Katie got a little overly excited about duct tape and washi tape… things get a bit wild for a while during this portion of the show.

Here is a link to MonaSuperHero’s Etsy where you will find the super cool prints of her duct tape art that Loni mentioned.

We know you looked at some of these pictures recently (the pocket shrines episode) but we wanted to make sure you were able to see how The Gals used duct and washi tapes in the making of their pocket shrines without having to go back and look for image.

Loni’s bad ass punk rock use of Katie’s punk rock duct tape:

And Katie’s experimenting with combining her sparkly washi tape with Loni’s:

And as promised, here is the epic unicorn sticker that Loni made using her purple, sparkly washi tape. She also made a really cool raven sticker from the same tape for Katie but she insists that she is just too hot to walk downstairs, get the sticker to take a picture of it, and walk back up stairs. She said she will tweet about it later tonight.

First Loni taped down a printed out image that she wanted to use for the sticker onto wax paper.

Then tuned the paper over and covered the other side with her washi tape, making sure the entire image was covered.

Once the tape was where she wanted it, Loni flipped the wax paper over again and cut out the unicorn image, cutting through all layers.

This is what the sticker looks like before peeling the wax paper backing off and sticking the awesome to something.

And now Loni drives around with her purple, sparkly unicorn on her rear window!

Speaking of unbearable heat (because we are sure that we mentioned it), we have GOT to get out of this studio and if we don’t shut this poor computer off soon, it is going to shut itself off from being over heated!
