Making Jewelry That Doesn’t Suck

As you will soon find out, Sharon’s jewelry is rad. Like super rad! Katie is horrible at making jewelry and has been desperately waiting to record this episode so she can pick Sharon’s beautiful mind about what is going wrong with her attempts at making her own jewelry.

Sharon starts this episode with a quick rundown of the tools she told us about in our tools episode a couple of weeks ago. Here are those images again so you don’t have to go back to that post.

She then tells us about findings, and clasp, and wire wraps (Oh My!!!)… here are a couple of example images of the things Sharon uses to hold her jewelry together.

In the rest of this episode Sharon gives us a lot of information and tips about choosing materials; putting our jewelry together so it stays together, and finishing it professionally and beautifully. She also mentions her favorite online supplier of tools and materials again; you can visit vintaj.com by clicking that link right there.

Just so you know that Sharon knows her stuff when it comes to jewelry, here are some examples of her work. We totally expect you to take our word for it, but we thought pictures would be nice as well.
